Diamax Information Systems · Since 1998
Diamax engineers essential AI information systems for enterprises and institutions whose processes and people must hold up to edge cases, pressure, and change. Since 1998.
Start with one consequential workflow →Every organization runs partly on people who bend a rule to keep the work moving; the exceptions nobody documented, the calls that aren't in the manual, or the veteran colleagues who know why the rule exists and when it shouldn't apply.
Software does not bend. Automate the wrong step and you do not just lose flexibility, you remove the person who was quietly holding the entire process together.
We design systems that are honest about the role of tacit knowledge and expert judgement in a process. Automate what is genuinely repeatable. Augment where judgment improves the outcome. Escalate when the system needs to get out of the way.
We have been designing, developing, and maintaining information systems for over twenty-eight years. Our clients, past and present, are leaders in their field, including the World Bank, the National Academy of Engineering, the National Academy of Medicine, the UN, West Point, the National Business Aviation Association, Pipeline Research Council International, and the American Physical Therapy Association.
For the offices where consequence is immeasurable. Few users, extraordinary stakes.
Where busy people collaborate or engage across organizations, disciplines, and countries.
Not databases of records; in-depth, content rich maps of who and what comprise a field.
Sensitive institutional processes over years whose outcomes have to be defensible.
Where process consistency and flexibility are both required to achieve outcomes that are objective, authoritative and timely.
How an institution captures what it knows and ensures it is applied effectively across the enterprise.
Numerous systems we have built have run, without interruption, more than two decades without refactoring. We have rebuilt others two and three times; the same firm, the same relationship, and enough of the same team members to ensure lessons carry into the next build.
Most of our solutions have outlasted the staff who commissioned them. More than once we have found ourselves training a client's new people on their own business processes, because we understood how the work got done, and we were still there when the people who knew it best had moved on.
Institutions lose their memory in ways they rarely plan for. One of the things Diamax provides is a place for that knowledge to persist.
Diamax accepts only a small number of engagements each year. The people you meet are the people who do the work — and they're still here when you need them ten years later. AI is integral to the information systems we deliver and how we engineer them.
Most of our engagements begin with a single process that is not working, and a suspicion that the reason is not entirely technical.
